Can you post an emulator in which i can play these?

I actually used iXpectrum on the iPod touch. It can load and run those maps just fine! Great work.

  3. Admin says:

you can also find emulators at http://www.worldofspectrum.org

White Kite Fauna, is that just for jailbroken iphones/touches ? i can’t find it on the appstore….

Well I got it from Cydia. In the app store, there is also a free “Commodore 64” app, that also has a free LaserSquad – first 3 or 4 missions. But you cannot load custom maps with it (at least I dont know how). And it crashes on “rescue from mines” for me 😮 For the rest, it works fine. I find its UI to be better than iXpectrum – it is more suitable for LaserSquad (bigger buttons). iXpectrum is more universal though.

Not been back to worldofspectrum for a while to play laser squad(Fav game of all time) until today and found a few amazing sites like this. Keep up the good work. Here’s hoping Laser squad makes it onto xbox live. That would be awesome.

Richard, if you’re looking for LS on more modern platforms, take a look at Stellar Forces.

Besides the now (2014) obvious XCom Enemy Unknown and Enemy Within, you might also like Xenonauts (probably the closest modern thing to the original Laser Squad and UFO/XCom games).

Heeh, any idea where could one find instructions for the custom (8 to 20) maps ? At least detailing the mission objectives for each of them ? Laser Squad is a very objective-driven game depending on the mission, and Mafia is pretty obvious but the same doesn’t apply to all of these maps.
